At the time of the car being Manufactured they set the cambelt service interval , in the case of the 9n3 Tdi was set to 180k km's , In reality they started breaking way before so as a precaution the manufacturer moved the interval to 120k km , obviously the original books But acctually it's 100.000 miles or 160.000km (As from '99 models- ), but here in Europe they change it at the 150.000km service (= +-93.750 miles).
